Thirteen steps left to sponsor for Sabine Pass Lighthouse

Step 49

The Cameron Preservation Alliance would like to thank Clara Granger, Phyllis Watts, Cyndi Meche, Glen Granger, and Theresa Granger for sponsoring step number 49. The step is sponsored “In memory of Ernest Ray Granger SP-4 United States Army”.

Mr. Granger was part of Cameron Preservation Alliance for many years, and was a great advocate for restoring the lighthouse.

Step 90

The Cameron Preservation Alliance would like to thank the Sons of Confederate Veterans Bryan Camp 1390 and Lane Camp 1745 for sponsoring step number 90!

How to Sponsor

There are only 13 steps to be sponsored. Each step will have a plate with the donor’s name. Each step costs $1000, and is tax deductible. Payment may be made by sending a check to the Cameron Parish Preservation Alliance c/o Andrew Tingler at 115 Boudreaux Lane, Lake Charles LA 70607, or through Paypal at https://www.paypal.com/fundraise/charity/1983950. Tingler says a payment plan can be arranged.

The Alliance now has the permit for fixing the road which was damaged by Hurricanes Laura and Delta. Repairs are ongoing with no real timeline for for when visitors can drive to the lighthouse.

The step contractor will be coming to take an interior scan of the lighthouse over the next couple of months then onto design and creation of the steps.
