Theodore “Teddy” Broussard, born on April 9, 1947, son of the late Woodrow and Leona Marie Theriot Broussard, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022, at age 75.

Teddy graduated from South Cameron High. He was a commercial fisherman and enjoyed being on the water. Teddy loved writing country music songs. He was a social butterfly and loved talking on the phone.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachelle Broussard; brother, Wendell Broussard (Debbie); grandchildren, Isaiah Rodriquez, Jeremiah Escamilla, Eli Escamilla, Christian Escamilla, and Jacob Escamilla.

Funeral services are Thursday, Aug. 11, at 1 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa with Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Thursday in the funeral home from 10 a.m., with a rosary recited at 12:30 p.m.
