The Cameron Parish Port Harbor & Terminal District met in special session on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Port Board Building, Cameron, Louisiana at 4:00 o’clock p.m.
Present: Howard Romero, Dwight Savoie, Tim Dupont, James Brown, Jennifer Picou, Sheila Miller, Alfred Devall, Nina Jones, Tremayne Picou
Absent: Nat Griffith, Thomas Cox
Guests: Gus Fontenot – SWLA Economic Development Alliance
Parish Agencies: Tunie Dunaway, Interim Port Director; Tianna Dunaway, Asst. Port Director; Tom Barrett, District Attorney; Chelsea Champagne, Assistant District Attorney.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman James Brown.
Dwight Savoie led the Pledge of Allegiance and James Brown gave the invocation.
On the motion of Mrs. Miller, seconded by Mr. Dupont and carried the board performed a roll call to adjourn the special meeting and enter into executive session to discuss hiring port director and interviews.
Yeas: Sheila Miller, Jimmy Brown, Nina Jones, Jennifer Picou, Howard Romero, Tim Dupont, Alfred Devall, Dwight Savoie, Tremayne Picou
Nays: None
Absent or not voting: Nat Griffith, Thomas Cox
On the motion of Mr. Romero, seconded by Mrs. Miller and carried the meeting was called back into special session.
The Board decided to take no action.
The next regular meeting will be scheduled for May 31, 2022, at 5 p.m. at the Cameron Parish Port Building.
There being no further business and upon motion of Mr. Romero seconded by Ms. Miller and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
