Rosa Lee Bargeman known to some as “Lil Rose” was born in Grand Chenier and Creole. She attended Bargeman Memorial Church of God in Christ She moved to Lake Charles after Hurricane Rita and resided in Lake Charles until her death. She died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025.

She is survived by two brothers, Clifford Bargeman Sr. and George Bargeman, both of Lake Charles; special niece and caretaker, Loueanna Bargeman Grice; and assistant, Naomia West; and godson, Alfred Grice Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, O’neal Bargeman and Mary Payton Bargeman; one sister; and four brothers.

Her funeral was held Saturday, Feb. 15, at James Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
