Ronald “Ronnie” Murphy Romero, 66, of Hackberry passed away on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Murry Dean Ray. Burial will follow at Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson Bayou.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Johnson Bayou on July 10, 1954, he was the son of Murphy Romero and Ruby (Menard) Romero. Ronnie enjoyed fishing and hunting. He took great joy in spending time with his family and friends. Ronnie will be deeply missed by all those he touched during his time on earth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Ruby Romero; brother, Jerry Romero; sister, Louanna McNeil; and brother-in-law, Steve Price.

He is survived by his children, Byron Romero of Sulphur and Seth Romero of Sulphur; and sisters, Judy Romero Harrington and husband Jimmie of Johnson Bayou, and Diane Price of Johnson Bayou.

Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Harrington, Richard Meaux, Martin Miguez, Keith Miguez, Corey Badon, and Keith McComic.
