On Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2025, Jo Dee Roberts retired after 29 years with the Cameron Parish Library.
Roberts played a pivotal role in expanding the Grand Lake Branch, transforming a former daycare center into a vibrant library space. She also played a key role in the launch of the Genealogy database for Cameron Parish Library, helping preserve local history for future generations.
She generously donated her time, resources, and supplies to outreach programs across the state and within the local community. She was known for her dedication to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at the library, from decorating with Louisiana artifacts to nurturing the grounds with beautiful plants and flowers.
She is very active in her community and an active member of the Cameron Lions Club, she also volunteered at the Louisiana Book Festival in Baton Rouge for several years.
Roberts has a deep passion for photography, her photos are cherished by many and can be found in numerous homes and businesses throughout the area.
