Cameron Parish Police Jury met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Friday, Aug. 5.

In the voting meeting the following appointments were voted upon or tabled:

Fire Protection District No. 10 – Ian Griffin, term expired, moved to reappoint.

Gravity Drainage District No. 3 – Ryan Mallory, term expired, tabled.

Gravity Drainage District No. 9 – Grant Gremillion, term expired, moved to reappoint.

Lower Cameron Hospital Board – Margaret Jones, resigned, Vickie Kiffe appointed.

Mosquito Abatement Board – Marck Smythe, term expired, moved to reappoint.

Water Works District No. 7 – Lula LeBlanc, term expired, Vickie Kiffe appointed.

Water Works District No. 7 – Robin Morales, term expired, tabled.

Water Works District No. 16 – Geralyn Myers, term expired, moved to reappoint.

Beachfront Development District No. 1 – Mike Gaspard, resigned, appointed Tammy Erbelding to serve for remainder of term.

Louisiana Oyster Task Force – appointed qualified Cameron Parish Representative Ryan Mallory.

Approval to renew contract with the Picard Group for State and Federal lobbying services was granted.

The jurors voted to allocate funding in the amount of $10,273.50 to the LSU AgCenter for Extension Programs for July through December 2022.

Authority was approved by jurors for the building inspector to send Notice of Condemnation Hearing to all the properties on condemnation list. Fourteen were released in the first batch for the Private Propety Debris Removal Program. Listed is the applicant name, address of property, and structure to be demolished:
