Lady Hornets Run Rule DeQuincy

The Grand Lake Hornets hosted the DeQuincy Lady Tigers in district action last Monday. They came away with a big run rule victory over a DeQuincy team that has surprisingly struggled at times this season. The Lady Hornets knew they had to take advantage of the opportunity against a usually tough Lady Tiger squad.

Alaina Beard went 1-4 with an RBI, Hannah Thevis went 1-2 with an RBI, Emmalea Daigle went 2-5 with 2 RBIs, Kloey Granger went 1-4, Ada Sims went 3-4, Falynn Foreman went 1-4 with 2 RBI’s, Zoiee Dugas went 3-4 with 4 RBIs, and Maddie Trahan went 2-2 with an RBI.

Palynn Fontenot, and Alaina Beard both pitched and combined for 7 strikeouts!

Lady Mustangs Crush Lady Rebels

The Hackberry Lady Mustangs traveled down the road to face Cameron Parish rival Johnson Bayou last week. Things got out of hand pretty quick as Hackberry scored 15 runs in the top of the 1st inning on their way to a 3 inning mercy rule victory over the Lady Rebels.

Calli Trahan pitched for Hackberry the entire game and recorded 8 strikeouts.

For Hackberry, Aubre Mire went 1-1 with an RBI, Calli Trahan went 1-2 with an RBI, Velle Devall went 1-2, Remi Broussard went 1-1 with 2 RBIs, Elise Beard went 1-1 with an RBI, and Kinsley Brown went 1-1 with 2 RBIs.

G. Trahan pitched for Johnson Bayou and recorded 3 strikeouts.

For Johnson Bayou, K. Romero went 2-2, and G. Trahan went 0-2 but scored an RBI.
