?PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative has applied for a 401 Water Quality Certification for the proposed Hurricane Laura Repair, Replacement, and Restoration project to clear, grade, excavate, and place fill to replace existing system infrastructure with a single 230kV transmission line. The proposed work would remove, replace, and upgrade substations, approximately 147 miles of transmission lines, approximately 1437 miles of distribution lines, and three waterway crossings in Cameron and Calcasieu Parish. Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative is applying to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Environmental Services for a Water Quality Certification in accordance with statutory authority contained in the LAC 33:IX.1507.A-E and provisions of Section 401 of the Clean Water Act.
