Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on October 17, 2024 at 6:00 pm.
The meeting began with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The invocation was led by Kris Howerton.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Thomas Cox, Kris Howerton, and Jacob Babcock.

Employees in attendance were Lisa Ledano
Guests present: Mitch Thomas (K & M Project Services, LLC)
A draft of the minutes of the previous meeting, September 19, 2024, was distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Kris Howerton made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

Public comment- time was allowed for public comment prior to voting on all agenda items
Update on election documents – the Bond Commission and Secretary of State are reviewing the documents. Once approved, Mr. Barrett will have to approve the ballot. Certified copies of the approved documents will be sent to the board for our record.
Quote for renderings signs – Kris Howerton informed the board that he went to Image 360 to obtain a quote for 5 pairs of signs and a 4×8 sign to be placed at the road in front of the property. The quote was $1,222.20. Thomas Cox made a motion to proceed with Image 360 beginning the artwork of the renderings. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The board members present reviewed the invoices for the month of September 2024. Jacob Babcock made a motion to approve the bills. Kris Howerton seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The financial statement for the month of September 2024 was distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Thomas Cox made a motion to accept the financial statement as presented. Kris Howerton seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
With no further business to discuss, Jacob Babcock made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Kris Howerton seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
