Cameron Parish Recreation District 5 held its regularly scheduled meeting on September 21, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
Board President Tremayne Picou called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present: Thomas Cox, Jacob Babcock and Kayla Conner
Absent: Brett Bellard
Employees in attendance were Lisa Ledano and Vickie Pickett.
Guests present: none
Minutes of the previous meeting, August 24, 2023, were distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Jacob Babcock made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Kayla Conner seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.

New Business:
K & M Projects, LLC estimate to complete design package for newly proposed center – Thomas Cox made a motion to move forward with the estimate of $14,162.25. Kayla Conner seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
Membership forms, hours of operation, fees, discounts for emergency responders were discussed.
Kayla Conner made a motion to modify the meeting agenda to add obtaining a bank credit card for the district. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none. Tremayne Picou will contact B1 Bank about obtaining a credit card.
The board members present reviewed the invoices for the month of August 2023. Kayla Conner made a motion to approve the bills. Thomas Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
The treasurer’s report for the month of August 2023 was distributed to all board members via electronic mail prior to the meeting. Kayla Conner made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
With no further business to discuss, Thomas Cox made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Jacob Babcock seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. Public comment: none.
