The Nothin’ But Sand Youth Beach Cleanup was a great success with 170 volunteers who cleaned Mae’s Beach, Little Florida Beach, Gulf Breeze Beach, Constance Beach, Hwy. 82 Stretch, and Holly Beach.

Many thanks to our local sponsors who helped make it all possible: Johnson Bayou Recreation Center, Cheniere LNG, Williams, Energy Transfer, and Johnson Bayou RV Park. Also, the Johnson Bayou Fire Department and EMS donated their time to ensure that everyone had a safe and enjoyable time while cleaning the beach.

Event Wrap Up Report from Cameron Parish Beachfront Development #1: Total weight collected – 5,743 lbs.; number of bags collected – 203; and weird items/items of local concern found: metal buoy, propane tanks, construction supplies and lumber, netting from fishing boats, electronics, tires, bullets, glass bottles, refrigerator, scuba air tank, lighter fluid, massive ball of rope weighing approximately 200 lbs., and much much more.
