Grand Lake High
Jessica Aguillard has been named Grand Lake High School Principal. Aguillard is a GLHS graduate, class of 1999. She attended GL from K-12, and grew up in Grand Lake. She began teaching at Southwest Louisiana Charter Academy in 2012 as a middle school English teacher. In 2015, she moved to GLHS where she was a middle school English teacher for one year and then a high school math teacher until 2022 when she became assistant principal.
She is married to Jordan Aguillard (GLHS graduate class of 1998) for 22 years. They have three children, Branson (GLHS graduate class of 2021), Jesslyn (GLHS graduate class of 2023), Blaire a Junior at GLHS this upcoming year.
Aguillard said “It is an honor to be the principal of the school that had such an impact on the person I am today. It is exciting to serve and give back to our community.” Her husband is a rice, cattle, and crawfish farmer. In her spare time, her greatest joys are spending time with her family and being on the farm.
Hackberry High School
Paulette Campbell has been named Hackberry High School Principal.
Campbell is a graduate of Sulphur High School. She is married to Tim and they have two daughters, Haley and Traci, a son-in-law Jeffery; four step grandchildren, Matthew, Erin, Nathan and Madison and two granddogs, Whit and Keizer.
She is starting her 31st year in education. She has worked in Calcasieu, the Diocese of Lake Charles and Cameron. She taught at Johnson Bayou for three years and Hackberry for 13 years with 5 1/2 of those as Assistant Principal.
Campbell has degrees from McNeese in Elementary Education with a minor in middle school mathematics; from Northwestern State University in Educational Technology Leadership; and working on a Doctorate from University of Louisiana-Monroe in Curriculum and Instruction.
