The Cameron Parish Tourist Commission met in Special Session on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Cameron Parish Library, located at 10200 Gulf Hwy. in Grand Lake, La. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. with Chairman, Stephanie Rodrigue, presiding. The Prayer was led by Ms. Labove and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Ms. Miller.
Commissioners present were: Stephanie Rodrigue, Chairman; Carolyn Miller, Vice Chairman; Mary Johnson, Treasurer; Patty Boudreaux, Secretary; Tunie Dunaway and JoeAnn Labove.

New Business:
The purpose of the Special Meeting was to request participation in the “Cameron Parish Night with the Legislators” in Baton Rouge at the Pentagon Barracks courtyard on May 2, 2023. Ms. Rodrigue mentioned that the DA’s office was providing a meal and requested that commissioners attend and provide a specific promotional giveaway item for approximately 200 attendees. Upon motion by Ms. Miller, seconded by Ms. Johnson, and carried, the commissioners approved an order of 250 tumblers from Work Design.
Ms. Rodrigue will request that a table be provided by the Cameron Parish Police Jury office and Ms. Miller and Ms. Johnson will bring the fitted tablecloth with logo, as well as 16 oz. koozies in inventory stock. Ms. Boudreaux will check the possibility of a partial tent production to setup at the event.
Ms. Rodrigue presented a request to allocate hotel rooms at the “Hotel Indigo” by the Cameron Parish Police Jury for those commissioners requiring accommodations. Upon motion by Ms. Dunaway, seconded by Ms. Miller, and carried, the request was approved as presented, with additional approval for travel expenses.
Ms. Boudreaux presented a request to order shirts with logos for all commissioners. Upon motion by Ms. Johnson, seconded by Ms. Boudreaux, and carried, a request was approved to order up to three (3) shirts for each commissioner.
Upon motion by Ms. Dunaway, seconded by Ms. Johnson, and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 2:53 p.m.
