Mary Ann Cannon Dever, 73, of Lake Charles died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 in Sulphur.

She was born in Lake Charles but lived in Big Lake most of her life. She opened her own hair salon on Lake Street at Suffolk Manor and later Country Club Hair Salon. She worked as a stylist for nearly 50 years before retiring.

She is survived by her brothers, James Ray Cannon of Lake Charles and Howard Cannon of Moss Bluff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Dever; parents, James Howard Cannon and Mary Dubard Cannon; and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, at University Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Howard Cannon will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the church. A rosary prayer service will begin at 1 p.m.

In accordance with state regulations, attendees for visitation and services are respectfully asked to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
