Lorena “Ponkin” Robin Stutes, 100, of Lake Charles, died on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020. She was born Sept. 15, 1920, to Frank Robin and Claudia Romero Robin of Duson.

Lorena was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She was a member of The Catholic Daughter’s of the America for 48 years.

She is survived by her son, Paul Floyd Stutes, Sr. of Hackberry; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, John Harry Robin of Lafayette; and a sister, Clara Mae Domingue of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Robin and Claudia Romero Robin of Duson; husband Alpha Stutes; and numerous siblings.

Visitation service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 17, at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles beginning 4 until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, Dec. 18, at 8 a.m. until the time the procession will leave for church at 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Cathedral of Immaculate Conception at 10 a.m.
