There was a regular meeting of Gravity Drainage District No. 8 at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Grand Lake Waterworks Office.
PRESENT: Jake McCain, Marsha Delaney, Terry Smith, James Cox
ABSENT: Tommy Arceneaux
GUESTS: None
On motion of James Cox, second by Terry Smith and carried, the minutes of the of the January 12, 2023, meeting are approved.
On motion of Terry Smith, second by James Cox and carried, the Finance Report through February 28, 2023, was approved as presented by the Secretary.
Notice was given that the Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District will meet in open and public session on Thursday, the 18th of May, 2023, at 6 p.m., at 111 Dennis Lane, Grand Lake, Louisiana, to consider the continuation of an ad valorem property tax millage for providing for operation and maintenance of drainage in the District.
On a motion of Jake McCain, seconded by Marsha Delaney and carried, the board approved the following permits:
a. LCUP # 230101 – Philip Precht – Waterfowl Habitat
b. LCUP # 230301 – Jason Duhon – Pond for Driveway/House Pad
The board requested a work order to assess and if needed clean Lateral #8A.
On motion of Terry Smith, second by Marsha Delaney and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
