NOTICE OF DEFEASANCE AND CALL FOR
REDEMPTION
WATER REVENUE REFUNDING BONDS, 2014 SERIES DATED MARCH 20, 2014 ON
ORIGINAL ISSUE
OF
WATERWORKS DISTRICT NO. 11 OF THE PARISH OF CAMERON, LOUISIANA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to a Bond Resolution adopted July 20, 2020, by the Board of Commissioners, governing authority of Waterworks District No. 11 of the Parish of Cameron, Louisiana (the “District”), has authorized issuance of $830,000 of its Water Revenue Refunding Bonds, Series 2020, to be dated the date of their delivery (the “Bonds”), a portion of the proceeds of which shall provide sufficient moneys to pay on September 2, 2020, the principal of, premium, if any, and interest on the District’s outstanding Water Revenue Refunding Bonds dated March 20, 2014 on original issue, consisting of all principal installments of said issue which mature September 1, 2021 to September 1, 2029, inclusive (these installments herein collectively referred to as the “Refunded Bonds”), as hereinafter set forth.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 531 of Title 39 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as amended, and Chapter 14-A of Title 39 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as amended, (La. R.S. 39:1444, et seq.), and other constitutional and statutory authority applicable thereto, and conditioned upon issuance and delivery of the Bonds, the Refunded Bonds are to be defeased and paid on September 2, 2020, and will no longer be secured by or entitled to the benefits of the Resolution adopted February 27, 2014, (the “Refunded Bond Resolution”), providing for their issuance. In accordance with the provisions of the Refunded Bond Resolution, the Refunded Bonds are conditionally called for redemption at the earliest possible time, but not later than September 2, 2020.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Refunded Bonds which have been so defeased are hereby further called for redemption, at the principal amount thereof, and accrued interest to the date of redemption.
Said Refunded Bonds which are to be redeemed shall be presented for payment on September 2, 2020, at the principal office of Argent Trust Company, Ruston, Louisiana, as the Paying Agent therefor, after which call date no further interest shall accrue or be paid on said Refunded Bonds.
The owners of the Refunded Bonds which are hereby called for redemption pursuant to the terms of this notice are hereby notified and requested to present such Bonds for payment and redemption on the date and at the place specified above. The Refunded Bonds called for redemption will be paid from funds available to the District upon issuance of the Bonds.
