POLICE JURY
SPECIAL SESSION
APRIL 1, 2022
The Cameron Parish Police Jury met in special session on Friday, February 4, 2022, in the Cameron Parish West Annex Board Room in the Village of Cameron, Louisiana at 11:20 o’clock A.M. The following members were present: Mr. Curtis Fountain, Mr. Scott Trahan, Mr. Mr. Lawrence Faulk, Mr. McKinley Guidry, Mr. Joe Dupont, Mr. Magnus McGee, and Mr. Kirk Quinn. Mr. Thomas McDaniel was absent.
It was moved by Mr. Quinn, seconded by Mr. Faulk, and carried, that the Jury shall go into Executive Session to discuss Hurricane Laura/Delta Insurance Litigation and discuss outstanding litigation and appropriate action on Coastal Bill legislation. The vote thereon was, as follows:
YEAS: Joe Dupont, Curtis Fountain, Scott Trahan, Lawrence Faulk, McKinley Guidry, Magnus McGee, and Kirk Quinn
NAYS: None
ABSENT OR NOT VOTING: Thomas McDaniel
It was moved by Mr. McGee, seconded by Mr. Quinn, and carried, that the Jury shall return to regular session. The vote thereon was recorded, as follows:
YEAS: Joe Dupont, Curtis Fountain, Scott Trahan, Lawrence Faulk, McKinley Guidry, Magnus McGee, and Kirk Quinn
NAYS: None
ABSENT OR NOT VOTING: Thomas McDaniel
The President called the meeting back to order.
No action was taken on the Hurricane Insurance Litigation just a discussion.
It was moved by Mr. Faulk, seconded by Mr. Guidry, and carried, the jury approves for the President authority to sign a resolution opposing bills or proposed bills in the 2022 legislative session that removes the Cameron Parish Police Jury’s authority concerning coastal litigation and/or their causes of action
There being no further business, it was moved by Mr. Quinn, seconded by Mr. Guidry and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
