GRAVITY DRAINAGE
DISTRICT NO 4
June 21, 2023
Gravity Drainage District No. 4 held a regular meeting at Grand Lake Water Works District #11 Office, 111 Dennis Lane, Bell City, Louisiana 70630, at 5:30 pm, on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Shane Broussard.
Board members present for the meeting were: Shane Broussard, Leslie Griffith, Todd Morales, Dan Nunez and Yancy Welch.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the minutes of the Wednesday, May 17, 2023, meeting were approved.
On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the Board moved Mr. Mitch Thomas, K & M Project Services, L.L.C. to the beginning of new business.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board approved Mr. Thomas to look into and modify elevations for the operations of Kings Bayou Structure and Oak Grove Structure to match the new datum requirements.
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board approved Mr. Thomas to begin working on the new Middle Marsh Lateral.
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board accepted the financial report.
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the Board accepted the 2023 Proposed Budget.
On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the following bills were approved for payment.
1. Jeff Davis Electric – $39.65
On motion of Mr. Nunez, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the Board approved the proposed drainage servitude between GDD4 and Miami Corp. and Sweetlake Land and Oil Co. for the Middle Marsh Lateral. It was forwarded to Kara Bonsall.
On motion of Mr. Morales, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board approved Permit #20230404, Diamond D Industries – Location of Permit: 3511 Trosclair Road, Creole, Louisiana. (Proposed construction of 5 acre temporary limestone and equipment laydown and storage yard and security fencing required for Jeff Davis Electric Co-Op 230 KV Transmission Line Loop Project).
On motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Nunez and carried, the Board approved Permit #20230157, Waterworks District No. 1 of the Parish of Cameron, Louisiana – Location of Permit: Cameron, Creole and Grand Chenier, (South Cameron Water Consolidation Project of three existing water districts, No. 1, No. 7 and No. 9. Proposed installation and construction of approximately 32,558’ of 12” HDPE water main, 4,105 linear foot of 10” HDPE water main, 5,712’ of 8” HDPE water main, 24’ of 6” PVC water main, 70’ of 8” FPVC water main, and a structural concrete ground storage tank for lines will be installed by Open Trench.)
There being no further business, on the motion of Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Morales and carried, the meeting was declared adjourned.
