The Cameron Parish Wastewater District No. 1 Board met in regular session on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. in the Wastewater District office located at 126 Ann Street in the town of Cameron, Louisiana.
Guest: Quinton Chaumont and Scott Mosbey, Pot-O-Gold Rentals, LLC;
The meeting was called to order by the Secretary, along with roll call. The voluntary Prayer was led by Anthony Theriot. The Pledge was led by Anthony Theriot.
Roll Call: Present: Vickie Conner, Anthony Theriot and Ruben Doxey.
Absent: none
There were no public comments.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to add election of officers to the agenda.
On a motion by Anthony Theriot, seconded by Vickie Conner to elect Ruben Doxey as the board President, with 2 yeahs, 0 nays, and 0 absent, the motion passed.
The meeting was handed over to the President, Ruben Doxey.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to adopt the agenda for May 26, 2026, Wastewater board meeting.
On a motion by Anthony Theriot, seconded by Vickie Conner and carried, to approve and dispense from reading the regular session April minutes.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to approve the financial statement, including the Actual vs Budget, for the month of April 2026.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to pay the monthly bills.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to accept the resignations of Tammy Vincent and Mary Jones.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to accept the pre-event emergency contracts from vendors.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to approve the execution of any and all servitudes / right of ways.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot, and carried, to grant Joey Dockins, Superintendent and / or Kirk Peshoff, Wastewater Operator, authority to execute servitudes / right of ways and any other agreements necessary to obtain permission and authority to enter property for repair / replacement of lift stations and / or water wells.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to rescind the contract with BHI Services LLC to allow to dump sewage sludge.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, to accept sewage sludge from Pot-O-Gold Rentals, LLC.
On a motion by Vickie Conner, seconded by Anthony Theriot and carried, there being no further business, the meeting stands adjourned.
