Joseph Badon

Joseph Murphy Badon, 80, of Sulphur passed away on Friday, Mar. 19, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Joseph was born on August 30, 1940 to Alpha and Agnes Badon. He is a native of Johnson Bayou moving to Sulphur, La in 2006. He worked in Houston, Texas for 18 years as a plumber moving back to Johnson Bayou where he retired from the oil field after 25 years of dedicated service. Jim loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a kind hearted and giving man whose main priority was taking care of his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, antique vehicles and most of all working in his yard.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Gloria Newman Badon; four children, Tracy Badon, Chad Badon and fiancé Shari, Rodney (Roho) Badon and wife Stacey and Blandon Badon; grandchildren, Eric Badon, Kyle Badon, Damian Badon, Kascidy Badon, Dustin Badon and wife Kathryn, Austin Badon and wife Lexie, Fabian, and Gabrielle Jinks; great grandchildren, Aubrie, Wrynn, and Mollie Badon, Cheyann and Legend Gray, Joseph and Evelyn Mock; Emree and Roree Murphy. three sisters, Stella Stoute and husband CJ, Barbara Landry, Alice Broussard and husband Sterling.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alpha and Agnes Badon; seven siblings: Martin (Blue) Badon, Lloyd Badon, Shirley Badon, Ray (Cobet) Badon, Jeanette Trahan, Irene Trahan and Evelyn Cormier.

Funeral services were held Monday, Mar. 22, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial was at Mimosa Pines South. Celebrant Steve Shirley officiated.
