Johnson Bayou Students of Year named

Johnson Bayou Elementary

Abby Young has been named Johnson Bayou Elementary Student of the Year.

Young is a fifth grade student at JBHS. She is the daughter of Mark and April Young along with her two older sisters, Keylee and Gracie. She has lived in Johnson Bayou all her lifetime. She has been recognized numerous times for Student of the Month throughout her tenure at Johnson Bayou.

Additionally, she has been a distinguished student on the Banner Roll and Honor Roll since Kindergarten.

Young enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include swimming, reading, and art. She is a 2024-25 cheerleader for the Rebels and a member of the 4-H club.

Johnson Bayou Middle

Kinsley Romero has been named Johnson Bayou Middle School Student of the Year.

Romero is the 14-year-old daughter of Karl and Pamela Romero. She is a member of the Lady Rebel teams in cross country, basketball, softball, and track. She is a 2024-25 Rebel cheerleader. Her relay team placed 1st in the 4X4 relay at the state meet in 2024. She has always maintained Banner Roll/Honor Roll. She has participated in 4-H, Literary Rally, and Student Council.

Romero enjoys sports photography, shopping, and competing in sports. She will represent 8th grade as a princess for the 2024-25 Homecoming Court.

Johnson Bayou High

Isabella Trahan has been named Johnson Bayou High School Student of the Year.

Trahan is a Senior at JBHS. She is the daughter of Brina Trahan. She is the President of both 4-H and Student Council. She is the Captain of the Lady Rebels basketball, track, and softball teams. She loves to spend her time sharing her artistic skills and expressing her creativity.

Romero has always thrived in academics. She’s remained a Banner Roll and Honor Roll student all her school years. She is also your Senior maid for the 2024-25 Homecoming Court this year.
