Last week, the Hackberry Mustangs baseball team defeated St. Joseph’s-Plaucheville 5-2 in the Class C regionals.

The Mustangs will now host #5 Ebarb in the quarterfinals with a trip to the state tournament on the line which is something Hackberry has never done in baseball. They will have to get past a very good Ebarb squad who is also the defending Class C state champions so the Mustangs will certainly be fired up to make history!

The quarterfinal matchup between the Hackberry Mustangs and the Ebarb Rebels is set for Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at the Mustang Baseball Field. Admission is $10 per person. We would like to wish the Mustangs the best of luck as they continue their quest for a state championship!
