Gordon Richard Clement, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at his residence.

He was a lifelong resident of Edgerly and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Edgerly. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #9854 and the American Legion Post #208 in Vinton.

Survivors include his children, Wendell Coy Clement of Carlyss, David Wade Clement and wife Melodie of Vinton, Dianne Gale Fontenot and husband Craig of Edgerly, Nancy Carol Clement Bourque and husband Greg of Grand Lake, and Mona Marie Clement Gibbs and husband Shannon of LaPorte, Texas; sister, Neva Francis Clement Martin of Edgerly; 11 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his spouses, Honor Belle Berry Clement and Florence Murphy Clement; son, Gordon Dwayne Clement; parents, Oras and Zola Mae Clement; and one brother.

His funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 31, at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Rev. Russell Beard officiated. Burial was in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
