Fur Queen to be crowned January 6

The Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival Queen pageant is being held Saturday, Jan. 6, at South Cameron High School. The program begins at 6 p.m. Concessions will be available for food and drinks on a Cash Only basis, sponsored by South Cameron High School Home Economics and FBLA.

Eleven beautiful young ladies from across the state will be vying for the crown.

Fur Queen Contestants are told here by the parish they represent, name, age and hometown:

Avoyelles Parish–Mia Stewart, 18, from Kenner

Beauregard Parish–Lexie Chauvin, 19, from Iowa

Calcasieu Parish–Madalyn Gordon, 21, from Lake Charles

Cameron Parish–Hadley Lemons, 18, from Kinder

Evangeline Parish–Malloree Pardue, 18, from Lake Arthur

St. Bernard Parish–Madison Hogan, 19, from Mandeville

St. Charles Parish–Breanna Dominguez, 22, from Norco

St. John the Baptist Parish–Rylee Moore, 18, from Reserve

St. Landry Parish–Ashley Gorrell, 20, from Fort Johnson

St. Martin Parish–Jadyn Devillier, 20, from Crowley

St. Mary Parish–Trysten Tallada, 19, from Morgan City

One of these lovely young ladies will win a fur coat donated by the LA Fur Advisory Council and reign for one year.
