Freda Lee LaBove Hooper, 84, died on Sunday, July 18, 2021. She was born in Creole.

She is survived by her son, Frank Hooper Jr; daughters, Darla Jean Hooper, Debbie Sue (Perry) Taylor; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elray and Irene Nunez LaBove; husband, Frank Hooper Sr; daughter, Tammie Gail (Dwayne) Nunez; grandsons, Zach and Brandon Taylor; along with five brothers and one sister.

Services were held at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles Thursday, July 22, with Msgr. James Gaddy officiating. Burial followed at Highland Memory Gardens.
