“Dancing with Henry”

Born in Sweetlake to Clem and Willie Demarets, graduating from Grand Lake School and coming out of LSU, she started her teaching career at Sweetlake School first grade class 1945.

After a short time at Cities Service PCI Lab, where she met and married Henry, she continued teaching kindergarten at Simpson Methodist Church until the school board took over.

Preceded in death by Henry, son Thomas, grandchildren Daniel, Dawn, And Shea.

Survived by children Bonnie, and Keith, grandchildren, Geoff, and Kalia, six greatgrandsons, and six great great granddaughters.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 16, in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Visitation was held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Apr. 15, from 4 until 8 p.m. and will resume on Thursday at 12 Noon until the time of service.
