MINUTE PROCEEDINGS
There was a regular meeting of Gravity Drainage District 5 at 4:30 p.m., December 12, 2023, at South Cameron High School, 753 Oak Grove Hwy, Grand Chenier, LA 70643
PRESENT: Phillip Trosclair III, Anthony Swire, Suzie Fawvor, and Mitchell Baccigalopi
ABSENT: Bubba Richard
Guest: Mitch Thomas- K&M Project Services
President Trosclair called the meeting to order.
On motion by Anthony Swire, seconded by Suzie Fawvor, and carried, to add an addition to the agenda- Adopt ACT 393/Changes to open meetings law requirements.
Public Comment – None
On motion by Suzie Fawvor, seconded by Anthony Swire, and carried, the board approved the minutes of the previous meeting.
On motion by Suzie Fawvor, seconded by Mitchell Baccigalopi, and carried, to accept the financial report.
On motion by Anthony Swire, seconded by Suzie Fawvor, and carried, to amend 2023 budget.
On motion by Mitchell Baccigalopi, seconded by Anthony Swire, and carried, to adopt 2024 proposed budget.
On motion by Suzie Fawvor, seconded by Mitchell Baccigalopi, and carried that, the contract for Project Number 2022-051 by and between the Cameron Parish Gravity Drainage District No. 5 and Marshland Equipment, LLC for the Pumpkin Bayou Cleanout recorded under File No. 356525, Mortgage Records of Cameron Parish, Louisiana shall accept as complete and satisfactory and the Secretary shall cause the necessary advertisement for the claims to be made in a manner and form provided by law.
On motion by, Anthony Swire, seconded by, Suzie Fawvor, and carried, the board approved the following permits:
Hilcorp Energy- Grand Chenier, Deep Lake, (proposes to propwash an existing channel for access and re-entry of the SL20139 No. 026 Well).
On motion by Mitchell Baccigalopi, seconded by Anthony Swire, and carried, adopt ACT 393 changes to the open meetings law requirements in district policy.
On motion by Anthony Swire, seconded by Suzie Fawvor, and carried to accept the monthly invoices.
On motion by, Anthony Swire, second by, Mitchell Baccigalopi, and carried, the meeting is declared adjourned.
