MINUTES OF
PROCEEDINGS
The Board of Commissioners of Lower Cameron Hospital Service District met in Regular Session on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., at the Cameron Parish District Attorney’s office, in Cameron, Louisiana. Members present were Chairman Stephanie Rodrigue, Vice-Chairman Mary Canik, Tredale Boudreaux, and Vickie Kiffe. Members absent were Shawn Bonsall and Sheila Miller. Guests were Assistant District Attorney Chelsea Champagne, Michelle Trahan, and Kevin Dupke.
The meeting was called to order by Stephanie Rodrigue, Chairman. A quorum was determined.
Upon motion by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Tredale Boudreaux, the agenda was unanimously approved.
There were no public comments.
Upon motion by Mary Canik, seconded by Tredale Boudreaux, the Minutes of the November 21, 2023, Regular Meeting were unanimously approved.
Upon motion by Mary Canik, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, the Board of Commissioners received an update on the purchase of Quipped Freightliner Mobile Medical Unit, necessary equipment, and requisite utility connections to provide Primary Care Services for the Lower Cameron Hospital Service District, updates on advertising, pre-bid Conference, and bid opening for repairs to Cameron Parish Health Unit, a Cameron Parish Police Jury structure, timing of probable receipt of both temporary options, pending response to bid alternates, and an update on the design of the new, elevated South Cameron Memorial Hospital.
Upon motion by Tredale Boudreaux, seconded by Vickie Kiffe, the financial reports were unanimously approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Upon motion by Vickie Kiffe, seconded by Mary Canik, payment of reviewed bills was unanimously approved by the Board of Commissioners. It was noted that the next regular meeting was previously scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, at 4:00 p.m. at the Cameron Parish District Attorney’s Office, in Cameron, Louisiana. There was no further business, and the meeting was adjourned.
