Evelyn Marie Turner, 82, of Hackberry died on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023.

She was a native of Hackberry and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hackberry.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Orgeron (Rameaux) of Vinton, Sharon Johnson, Gayla Thomason both of Hackberry, Rhonda Marcel (Eric) of Mamou, and Melinda Turner of Houma; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, David Welch, Wayne Welch, and Donald Welch; and sister, Grace Simon.

Funeral service was held Thursday, Jan. 12, at First Baptist Church of Hackberry with Rev. Monte Rowse officiating. Burial followed in Hackberry Cemetery in Hackberry under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial.com.
