Early voting dates/locations told for Mar. 29th election

Cameron Parish Registrar of Voters has provided this Information for the Mar. 29, Primary Election:

What’s on the ballot for Cameron Parish – Four Proposed Constitutional Amendments

Voters can find their polling location and sample ballot by downloading the GeauxVote Mobile app for smartphones, or by visiting www.GeauxVote.com

The deadline to register to vote in person, by mail, or at the OMV Office was Feb. 26.

The deadline to register to vote through the GeauxVote Online Registration System is Mar. 8.
Early Voting will be conducted:

  • at the Cameron Parish Registrar of Voters office located at 148 Smith Circle in Cameron for seven days – Saturday, Mar. 15 through Saturday, Mar. 22 (excluding Sunday, Mar. 16);
  • at the Grand Lake Library located at 10200 Gulf Hwy. in Grand Lake for three days – Saturday, Mar. 15, Monday, Mar. 17 and Tuesday, Mar. 18;
  • at the Hackberry Community Center located at 980 Main St. in Hackberry for one day – Thursday, Mar. 20.

Hours for all Early Voting dates are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Mar. 25 by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters). Voters can request an absentee ballot online at www.geauxvote.com or in writing through the Registrar of Voters Office.

The deadline for a voter to return a voted absentee ballot to their parish’s Registrar of Voters Office is Mar. 28 by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters).

Due to unpredictable mail delivery speeds, absentee voters utilizing the United States Postal Service are encouraged to allow additional time for their ballot to reach its destination.

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day. Anyone in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
Voters are encouraged to sign up for electronic notifications via GeauxVote Mobile.

Voters should bring an ID with them to vote (Louisiana driver’s license, Louisiana Special ID card, a generally recognized picture identification card with name and signature such as a passport, or a digital license via LA Wallet).

Election results can be viewed in real-time via GeauxVote Mobile or at www.sos.la.gov.
