Early voting begins October 25

The Open Primary/ Congressional Election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The Cameron Parish Early Voting schedule is listed at the following locations:

Cameron Parish Police Jury West Annex, 148 Smith Circle, Cameron, for 7 days, from Tuesday, Oct. 25 to Tuesday, Nov. 1 (except Sunday), from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Grand Lake Library, 10200 Gulf Hwy. Early voting will be conducted for three days: Tuesday, Oct. 25, Wednesday, Oct. 26 and Thursday, Oct. 27, from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

Hackberry Community Center, 980 Main St Hackberry. Early Voting will be conducted one day only, on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Bring picture ID with you.

The deadline to register to vote online through www.geauxvote.com was Tuesday, Oct. 18.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Friday, Nov. 4, by 4:30 p.m. You can request an absentee ballot online through www.geauxvote.com or in writing through the Registrar of Voters Office (other than military and overseas voters).

The deadline for a registrar of voters to receive a voted absentee ballot is Monday, Nov. 7, by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters).
