Dwight LeDoux

Dwight “Big Dwight” Curtis LeDoux, born in Colorado Springs, Colo. and raised in Sweetlake died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at the age of 77.

He was a graduate of Bell City High, He served in U. S. Army. He was a member of the NRA, VA and Louisiana Sheriff’s Association. He farmed in Sweetlake and Pine Pasture for numerous years. He worked overseas in many countries for Penrod Drilling and retired from N E S Sprint Tank.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Curtis LeDoux and Edmae Guillory; two sisters; and grandson, Nicholas Hebert.

He is survived by his children, Jacqueline “Jackie” LeDoux; Kasha Jeter (Keith LeJeune); Dwight C. LeDoux, II (Jennifer); Brandi Stoddard (Cody Armstrong); Ashley Bourque (Nic); Laddy “Reese” LeDoux (Shuman Li); siblings, Gregory LeDoux; Sheila Bailey; Suzanne McMillan; Jonathan LeDoux; Sophie Buxton; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1st wife and life-long friend, Billie Jean Weeks.

Funeral services were held at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Monday, Nov. 22, with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.

Cremation followed the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
