Dillion Granger

Dillion John Granger, 27, a native of Grand Lake and current resident of Norfolk, Va., passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Granger was a veteran of the United States Army Nation Guard. He enjoyed living life to its fullest. He had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. Dillion loved to strike out on his own to seek adventure. Dillion had a compassionate heart, was extremely well mannered, and loved visiting with people and never met a stranger. He filled his life with adventure and spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

Dillion leaves to cherish his memory his father, David Granger and wife Donna Theriot Granger; mother, Pascha Filipski; half-sister, Victoria Gates and husband Garth; grandparents, Buddy and Joyce Granger; fiance, Mary Filipski; Janie Clair Feduccia; nephew, Wyatt Gates; Nanny, Nancy Thomas and husband Troy; Uncle, Allen Granger; and Paran, Tony Theriot and wife Cindy; Uncle, Mike Theriot and wife Angie; Uncle, Scotty Filipski; Nanna, Candas Scalia and boyfriend David; Uncle, Teddy Filipski and wife Scarlet; and his canine companion, Tyson.

Dillion was preceded in death by his grandparents, Banjo and Helen Theriot and Terry Filipski; and several cousins.

Honored to serves as pallbearers are: Tony Theriot, Allen Granger, Robert Turner, Dale Tyson, Dustin Scalia, and Eric Knight.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 16, in the Chapel of Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa from 9 a.m. until time of service. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Johnson and Brown Funeral Home in Iowa. Rev. Wayne LeBleu is to officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Sallier Cemetery.
