David Conner

David “Cajun Dave” Lynn Conner, 64, of Moss Bluff passed away on Saturday Aug. 28, 2021 with his family at his side.

David was a native of Creole and spent many years in Little Chenier and Sioux City, IA before moving to the Moss Bluff area seven years ago. He honorably served our country in the United States Army. After returning home from his service, David worked in Law Enforcement and private security. He loved it most when his job enabled him to help troubled youth.

David enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, riding his motorcycle and spending time with others. He loved teaching those who wanted to learn about cars and motorcycles, rebuilding many in his time. He was always the center of attention at family gatherings. If he hosted you knew there would be enough barbeque to feed a small army. He loved his family, relished in his role of pawpaw and he never meet a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee John and Flora Mae (Miller) Conner; brother, Bobby Conner, nephew, Kevin Grant Carlin and son, Clinton Wayne Morgan.

Those left to honor and cherish his memories are his children, Jarod Paul Conner and wife Jennifer; Sabrina Jo Feilen and husband Nicholas and David Lynn Conner II and wife Stephanie; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lee Conner; Annie Conner and husband Joe; Dale Conner and wife Amanda and Carol Benoit and husband Lee Allen; his companion, Teri Lippon; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family of the heart.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 9541 Gulf Hwy. Lake Charles with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, Sept.3 from 9 a.m. until time of service, 10 a.m. Burial will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Creole.
