Lukas Meaux & Cajun Beat, Dustin Ray, and Jamie Bergeron & the Kickin Cajuns are gonna be in Holly Beach Saturday, June 10 for the 2nd Annual Holly Beach Crab Festival.

Come pass a good time with friends, old and new! Bring your chairs, (coolers welcome) and your family to the Sunset Stage at 2412 Heron St in Holly Beach! Crab dinner (Crab Burger and slaw) starts at 6 p.m. until gone.

There will be a Friday Meet & Greet, a Crab Dish Cookoff, Bouncy Superslide, Crab Bingo, Wildlife and Audubon presentations, Ax Throwing, Kid Zone, Kona Ice Snow Cones, Dunking Booth, Sand Castle building lessons, Hi-licious Street, Lousiana Souvenirs & Sundries and Music with DJ Troy. On Sunday, there will be a Zydeco Brunch.

3:30-6:30 p.m. – Dustin Ray
7-10 p.m. – Jamie Bergeron

There is no entry fee. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be selected in each category. This year has three categories. You can enter any or all categories.
Last year’s winner was Keith Miguez with his mother’s stuffed crab recipe.
Rules
Dish may be an appetizer, main dish, or side dish. No boiled crabs.
- Each contestant will pick up their three carryout containers at 9 a.m. at 2412 Heron.
- Each contestant will prepare three carryout containers for the judges.
- Each contestant must return the three original carryout containers.
- Each contestant must return their entry at Noon at 2412 Heron.
- No Late Entries
- Winner will be announced at 6:30 p.m.
- The judges decision is Final.
Judging Criteria
- Visual Appeal (Make the judge’s mouth water)
- Aroma: Precedes taste
- Taste: Pleasing to the palate.
- Uniqueness (Originality)
- Spice/Zip (Robust flavors, balanced spices)
