Cheryl Darlene Skipper, 69 of Cameron went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Apr. 22, 2020.

Cheryl was born on July 15, 1950 to Thurman and Edith Alexander. She was born in Creole and was a lifelong resident of Cameron. She was dutiful wife, caring mother, daughter and friend, known for her love of life and for having a selfless and giving heart. She often would help anyone she could and expect nothing in return. She took pride in her work, whether it was helping her parents with their restaurant or volunteering for the families of her church.

She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; her children, Rebel Darlene Venable, and Michael Skipper II; a sister, Donnie Dale Koch; and her husband, Alvin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 20 plus years, Michael Skipper; a daughter, Jessica Richard and husband Kelly; grandchildren, Raven Abbott, Tyler, Maliyah, Kayla, Jozi and Ashley; great-grandson, Parker; two brothers; Tim (Brenda) Alexander of Abbeville and Paul (Crystal) Alexander of Cameron.
