The 2022-23 Cameron Parish Student Roundup will be held Monday through Thursday, Mar. 28-31 for 3-year-olds – Head Start and South Cameron Early Learning Center; Pre-Kindergarten – Public Schools and Head Start and Kindergarten – Public Schools.

Opportunities to enroll students are listed by location, date and time:

Hackberry High School High School, front office, Monday, Mar. 28, 10 a.m.-12 noon.

South Cameron High School, front office, Tuesday, Mar. 29, 10 a.m.-12 noon.

Grand Lake Elementary School, cafeteria, Wednesday, Mar. 30, 4-6 p.m.

Johnson Bayou High School, front office, Thursday, Mar. 31, 10 a.m.-12 noon.

Enrollment Guidelines are given here:

3-Year-Olds: Must be 3 years old on/or before Sept. 30, 2022 for Head Start; Must be 3 years old during the 2022-23 school year at South Cameron Early Learning Center;

Pre-Kindergarten: Must be 4 years old on/or before Sept. 30, 2022;

Kindergarten: Must be 5 years old on/or before Sept. 30, 2022.

Enrollment Documentation Required: Child’s Birth Certificate; Parent/Guardian Driver’s License, Income Verification (if applicable); Up to Date Shot Record; Certified Court Orders of Legal Documentation of Guardianship (if applicable); Proof of Residence (minimum of two documents); IEP or Early Steps Documentation (if applicable); Official Medical or Psychological documentation (if applicable).

Income verification examples: two consecutive check stubs for all parents and/or caregivers in the household; SNAP/Food Stamps with child’s name and valid effective dates; an official letter from employer with name, hourly rate of pay, and average number of hours worked.
