Bayou BBQ Battle benefitting children afflicted with Autism will be held Saturday, July 17 at Johnson Bayou Community Center, located at 5556 Gulf Beach Hwy., in Cameron.
The schedule is as follows: 6 a.m. registration; 7 a.m. cook start time; 5 p.m. judging.
Sponsorship Levels include:
Single Team Entry – one cooking team, two koozies, two shirts, two wristbands for an entry fee of $250.
Silver Level – one cooking team, four koozies, four shirts, four wristbands, logo on shirt for an entry fee of $400.
Gold Level – one cooking team, six koozies, six shirts, six wristbands, logo on shirt and banner for an entry fee of $1,000.
Platinum Level – two cooking teams, eight koozies, eight shirts, eight wristbands, logo on shirt, banner and band announcement for an entry fee of $1,500.
Individual Ticket – all-inclusive wrist band for activities, food and games $50. Children 17 and under $30.

Awards
Awards will be given in the following categories:
1st, 2nd, 3rd: The teams with the three highest scores from the judging will win prizes.
People’s Choice Award: A Jar will be provided for the People’s Choice award votes.
Entry includes meat: 2 Boston Butts, 2 racks of baby back ribs. Meat will be supplied at 7 a.m. start cook time.
No cooks or helpers will be allowed in the vicinity of the during judging.
There are plenty of children areas, entertainment, and dancing. There will be plenty of volunteers but please do not leave children unattended. We reserve the right to refuse or accept any registration. In the event of inclement weather, we will meet and decide as to if the inclement weather is severe enough to host the cook off. Failure to follow these rules will be grounds for disqualifications or removal.
