Board of Commissioners Meeting

March 12, 2026

Meeting called to order at 5 p.m. by Chairperson, Mary D. Booth.

Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer were led by Mrs. Booth.

Board Roll call: Present – Mary Booth, Kevin Vincent, Logan Manuel, Ashley Trahan.

Mrs. Booth read the agenda aloud. No additions to the agenda were proposed.

Mr. Manuel addressed Douglas Haley and asked him if he would prefer do discuss the incident, which involved him, in a public forum or in an executive session. Mr. Haley chose to discuss the matter in an executive session.

Mr. Manuel motioned for the board to enter an executive session to discuss a public complaint involving an employee. Second by Mr. Vincent. None opposed. Motion carried.

Mr. Manuel motioned to end the executive session and return to the regular meeting. Second by Ms. Trahan. None opposed. Motion carried.

Mr. Manuel motioned that the board require Mr. Haley to take a Communications Management course online and to repair the relationship between him and the establishment involved in this incident by meeting with them, apologizing for past communications, that were not appropriate, and to establish better communication going forward.

Mr. Manuel motioned to adjourn the meeting. Second by Mr. Vincent. None opposed. Meeting was adjourned.
