Board of Commissioners of the Hackberry Recreation District June 12, 2023
A regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Hackberry Recreation District was held at the Hackberry Recreation Center in Hackberry, Cameron Parish, Louisiana, on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.
Members Present: Terry J. Murphy, Travis LaBove, Bethany Moore, and Travis Welch.
Member Absent: Desiree Boykin.
Guests: None.
The meeting was called to order by the chairman, Travis Welch and the following business was discussed.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Travis LaBove, and carried to accept the regular meeting minutes as read.
Motion was made by Travis LaBove, seconded by Bethany Moore, and carried to accept the financial statements.
Motion was made by Terry J. Murphy, seconded by Bethany Moore, and carried to start paying part time employees 18 years old $11.00 per hour effective June 16, 2023.
Motion was made by Travis LaBove, seconded by Terry J. Murphy, and carried to select option A flood insurance coverage with American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida. Hackberry Recreation District maximum coverage on building and $202,000.00 for content with an annual premium of $8,893.00. The Multi-Purpose Facility coverage on building is $322,000.00 and $111,000 for content with an annual premium of $6,564.00.
