Andrew Guidry, 80, of Sulphur died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at his residence.

He was a native of Gueydan and a life resident of Sulphur. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Campaign of the Bay of Pigs in Cuba. He was longtime member of The Knights of Columbus Council #8376 and Our Lady of LaSalette.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona “Moni” Guidry of Sulphur; daughter, Donna Blake; three sons, Danny Guidry and wife Leeana and David Guidry and wife Alicia all of DeQuincy, and Dustin Guidry and wife Codie of Sulphur; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Guidry of Sulphur; and sister, Juanita Trahan of Johnson Bayou.

A funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Rev. Terry Niziolek officiating. Burial was in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
