Monday December 12, 2022
The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of Cameron Parish Mosquito Abatement District No. 1 was held at 5:00 p.m., December 12, 2022, at the Grand Lake Library. Board members present were Mitchel Kelley, Thomas Cox, Gregory Gray, Marck Smythe and Dede Sanders. Robert Trahan and Karl Styron were absent.
The meeting was called to order by Thomas Cox, who then asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the last meeting, October 5, 2022. A motion was made by Gregory Gray, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried that the minutes be approved as printed. A motion was made by Gregory Gray, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried to approve the financial statement.
In old business, an update on the Sweetlake warehouse was given by the director. It should be bid out in January.
In New Business, Mitchel Kelley made a motion, seconded by Gregory Gray, and carried to approve employee evaluations. Then the mileage pay for board members were discussed.
Then Gregory Gray made a motion, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried to approve the amended 2022 budget. The 2023 Proposed budget was then approved with a motion by Gregory Gray, seconded by Dede Sanders, and carried.
Mitchel Kelley then made a motion, seconded by Dede Sanders, and carried to approve the advertisement for chemical and aerial contingency bids.
The next meeting will be decided at a later date. There being no further business, Gregory Gray made a motion, seconded by Mitchel Kelley, and carried to adjourn the meeting.
