PROCEEDINGS
The Cameron Parish Waterworks District No. 10 met in regular session at the Waterworks office located at 6246 Gulf Beach Hwy. in Johnson Bayou on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. Members present were Mrs. Connie Trahan, Mr. Kent Carlson, Mr. Jim Snyder, Mr. Nathan Griffith, and Mr. Mark Young. Members absent were none. Guest attending were Rhonda Morrison, Carl Trahan, Aaron Jinks, and Brad Ibert.
It was moved by Mr. Griffith to call the meeting to order.
The pledge was said by all present and the prayer was led by Mrs. Trahan.
Public Comment period was given on all agenda items. No comment was made.
It was moved by Mr. Young and seconded by Mr. Snyder and carried to accept the minutes as read.
An update was given on the double check valve assembly project. The project is complete, invoices have been mailed to the customers, and DHH has approved the sanitary survey deficiencies.
The Holly Beach water tower project was discussed. The project is on hold due to land legalities.
Meter installation prices were discussed. Due to the rising cost of meter installation products, the ?” meter installations will be charged at a flat rate depending on distribution line size. The price will be reviewed quarterly and changes made, if needed. All other meter sizes will continue to be the cost of the meter, hardware and tap fee at the time of installation. The motion was made by Mr. Snyder. No public comment was given. The motion was seconded by Mr. Carlson and carried.
It was moved by Mrs. Trahan, seconded by Mr. Snyder and carried to approve the bills as paid.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Mr. Griffith to adjourn the meeting at 6:30 p.m.
