Mustangs hold off Singer
On Tuesday, Mar. 25, the Hackberry Mustangs traveled to rural Beauregard Parish to take on the Singer Hornets in their first district game of the season.
The Mustangs would trail the Hornets until the 5th inning when they would score 7 runs to take a commanding lead which would ultimately be the difference in the ball game.
Devin Murphy pitched 4.0 innings and recorded 10 strikeouts, John Wesley Vincent pitched 2.0 innings, and Jacob Tilotta pitched 1.0 innings and recorded 2 strikeouts.
Devin Murphy was 3-5 with 2 RBIs, Kaston Moore was 3-5 with an RBI, Lane Gray was 2-5 with 2 RBIs, Madden Spicer was 1-3 with an RBI, Derek Murphy was 4-5 with 6 RBIs, Layton Richard was 1-1, John Wesley Vincent was 1-4 with an RBI, and Jacob Tilotta was 1-4 with an RBI.
