The 2025 Cameron Pairsh Royalty was crowned on Thursday, Jan. 9, during this year’s Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival.
They are:
Little Miss Cameron Parish 2025 is Lynn Lee Alise Dyson, the 8-year-old daughter of Clarence and Trisha Dyson. She has brown eyes and blonde hair. Her siblings are Kayln, Kali, Julie, Marcia, Lydia, Ethen, and Nick. She enjoys cheering and playing basketball. LynnLee is a Jr. Tarpon cheerleader, plays Little Dribblers Basketball, volunteers at church events, and is a banner roll student at South Cameron High School. Her favorite food is pizza and lists The Grinch as her favorite movie.
When asked why she would like to become Little Miss Cameron Parish, LynnLee says because she would love to be able represent her family’s heritage of shrimp and oyster.
Little Mister Cameron Parish 2025 is Ayce Beckett Theriot, the 8-year-old son of Austin Theriot and Morgan Hardie. He has brown eyes and brown hair. He enjoys playing football and baseball, playing with his friends, singing, and hanging with his family. He is an honor student at Grand Lake Elementary, a member of Kids for Christ, plays Grand Lake Little Dribblers, a member of the Jr. Hornet football and baseball teams, and shows pigs in open livestock shows. His favorite food is his Maw-Rie’s rice and gravy and lists Christmas Chronicles as his favorite movie.
When asked why he would like to become Little Mr. Cameron Parish, Ayce says, because Cameron Parish is his home and he was told that he’d get to ride in the float, on the airboat, and get unlimited kisses from all the queens.
Miss Cameron Parish 2025 is Sydney Grace Waters, the 17-year-old daughter of Joshua and Erica Waters, granddaughter of Robin and the late Billy Waters and the late Edward Laria of Johnson Bayou. She is currently a senior at Sulphur High School and lists the Gumbo Cook-off as her favorite fur festival event. It’s the first event on Saturday morning of the festival and when one walks in that big tent and gets a whiff of those delicious smells, it’s about to go down! Her hobbies include surf fishing on the beach, kayaking, exploring light houses on road trips, and learning to cook some of my mom’s favorite Cajun dishes. Her awards and honors include being a banner roll student at Sulphur High School, maintaining a 4.5 GPA. Throughout high school She has been selected as Student of the Month several times, nominated twice for Student of the Year, and having won numerous awards and competitions in both BETA and Student Council. She has also been presented with the Marine’s Toys for Tots Ambassador pin. Waters’ future plans include attending Louisiana State University majoring in business management with a concentration in human resources hoping to secure a career in the Liquified Natural Gas Industry, right here in Cameron Parish.
