Wilma Marie Authement Sullivan, 90, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Houma, was raised in Cameron, and moved to Lake Charles in the late 1940s. She was a member of Grand Lake Faith Temple.

Survivors include her children, Charlotte Trahan (LeRoy) of Lake Charles, Tony Sullivan (Gloria) of Grand Lake, William Sullivan (Gabriela) of Houston, Jack Sullivan (Brenda) of Grand Lake, and Lisa Dansby (the late Tony “Big T”) of Lake Charles; sisters, Mary Lynn Constance (T) of Grand Lake, Georgia Constance of Carlyss, and Mary Louise Connor of Mauriceville, Texas; 23 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Slug” Sullivan; parents, Agnolia and Jackson Authement; five sisters; and a granddaughter, Nikki Dansby Duplechin.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, at University Baptist Church. Rev. Andrew Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Thursday in the church from 11 a.m. until the start of the service.
