“Whooping Crane Wonders” to be at six library branches

The International Crane Foundation is set to bring a unique and engaging educational program, “Whooping Crane Wonders,” to branches of the Cameron Parish Library. This family-friendly event is designed for children of all ages and will celebrate the majestic whooping crane and the vital wetlands they call home.

The 40-minute interactive presentation will be followed by a 20-30 minute arts and crafts session, allowing children to creatively express what they’ve learned. The program will spotlight the importance of wetlands and the incredible species that inhabit them, incorporating questions, games, and even a bit of dance to keep young minds engaged and entertained.

Program schedule:

Monday, July 7 – Hackberry Branch, 10 a.m; Johnson Bayou Branch, 2 p.m.

Wednesday, July 9 – Grand Chenier Branch, 10 a.m.; Cameron Main Library, 2 p.m.

Thursday, July 10 – Grand Lake Branch, 10 a.m.; Klondike Community Center, 3 p.m.
