Wendy Dawn Nunez, 87, died Friday, May 15, 2026, in Lake Charles. She was born in Creole.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa McFarlain Nichols; grandchildren, Krystal Terwilliger and husband, Jim, Byron McFarlain, Timothy McFarlain, Jody McFarlain and wife, Whittney and Jennifer Holland and husband, Logan; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Annie Benoit Nunez; three sons, Ronald McFarlain, Richard McFarlain and Calvin McFarlain.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. Rev. Marcus Wade will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur.

Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the start of the service.
